what is my rights as a wife if i didnt sign the devorce letter we are just marriage here in philipines but not in australia I doubt you have any rights {why should you actually??] as the marriage didn't take place on Downunder soil. You can apply for residency, however the time factor {and other matters} of the marriage is taken into consideration and Australia is coming down hard on foreign unions now as so many are just a great con to obtain passage to Australia. If your husband divorces you in one country, most other countries recognize the divorce as valid; that's the way international law works. you have no rights in australia I dont know what your rights would be since you got married in the Philippines.. |
