I wouldn't go for the places suggested above as they're meant to be short term and i'm guessing you're going to be studying at the uni which means you'll need accommodation for most of the year.

Rooms around kengsinton (unsw) are priced at $150 per week on average. College accommodation is about $320 depending on which college - most are fully catered.
