What is the South African dream?

The American dream can be defined as having the opportunity and freedom that allows all citizens to achieve their goals in life and prosper. What does it mean to 'live the South African dream'?

I appreciate all answers. Negative or positive. I hope I get funny answers as well seeing that it is white flag day.

Money, money, money ...............money can change a lot of things and make life easier no matter how you look at it.

Freedom and space. Sunshine and swimming pools. However this is being taken away from us. So there is no longer a South African Dream.

The New South African dream involves acquiring permanent residence status in Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the U.K.
That and the hope you will make it through the day or night without being murdered or raped.

I would imagine for most it is "Survival" whilst for others it is "Self enrichment."

I have a dream and I think many South Africans have the same. I want to live in a safe and peaceful South Africa where there are respect for each other and the laws of the country. I want to have prosperity and basic human rights for all of our citizens and a country that makes a difference in the world.

I think its more or less the same for us South Africans...
Also I think we all want to find ourselves as part of a properly functioning country that provides us with the best in all sectors.

The South African dream is to have pap with cream.

I lived the South African dream during Apartheid.

i can not speak on behalf of all the south africans but my dream for south africa is, for us to once and for all forget about the apartheid, AA , BEE and the rest that is busy destroying all the hopes and dreams of us south africans. my dream is for us all to live in peace under this blue beautiful sky. for us to just stop and realise the good there is left in this country.

A safe place for everyone to live in with low or no crime, without AIDS, where people are tolerant and prosper, where our environment isn't ruined.... I think the SA dream is the same as everyone else's dream.

To reverse the effects that 50 years of apartheid had on this country and to achieve a truly non racial society where all South Africans can live in peace and have an equal opportunity to prosper.

To live in peace with one another and give each room to do so whiteout crime

My own South African dream would be sunshine, a beautiful country with lovely blue sea and long stretches of beach and coastlines, mountains, abundant nature friendly people, more friendly people, happy people, more happy people, people being happy together, people loving each other, people living together, people living alongside each other in peace, working together to keep a beautiful country becoming even better, every day, all the time. Sadly, it麓s only a dream!!
