What is the oldest book in Afrikaans?

I know the answer, I would be interested to see who else does.
Discounting Dutch and attempts to write Dutch by the later colonists, what is the oldest book in a form of Afrikaans recognised as being Afrikaans/Cape Dutch? Who wrote it and why?

Dates please....?

In 1821 the first ''Official'' Afrikaanse book was printed according to government sources .http://www.google.co.za/search?hl=en&q=e...
But Maleis was replaced by Afrikaans in schools six years prior to that and it could not be done without Afrikaans books don't you agree ? It would only be speculating what the true answer to your question will be . Officialy -1821

firstly. there's still a big debate regarding the oldest book.

Zamenspraak tusschen Klaas Waarzegger en Jan Twijfelaar over het onderwerp van afscheiding tusschen de Oostelijke en Westelijke Provincie by Louis Henri Meurant (written under the name Klaas Waarzegger) is usually given this honour. it's a political book about the people in the eastern part of the cape province being unhappy and wanting to break away from cape town.

the other book is Bajaannoeddien by sjeik Abu Bakr Effendi, in order to establish the islam identity in afrikaans.
