It's grazy. I feel the same way. There's only hatred in my heart. I can't stand them. I guess I am a racist but can you blame me? That's all you read and hear over the news and in newspapers these days. It makes me sick. They hate us so much. I can see it in the way they treat us, the bad service you get, the look in their eyes etc. Did you read about the 2 black woman that tried to poison two different white families that they worked for? They wanted them dead. They worked 15 years for them. Why would they want to kill them. Those people were good to them. They are a bunch of racists and they want to get rid of us. It's as simple as that.
The day my mother in law was shot in her back (while she was running away, hands in the air" for her notebook computer, I literally declared war on black people.
A day or two after the event I stumbled on a website forum where this incident was discussed. One of the comments was "She probably deserved it". I would rather not discuss my response to this loser. This was more than a year ago.
Since then I have been looking for excuses not to be a racist.
I came to the conclusion, after extensive web surfing, and scrutinising of the media, that these murdering loser animals are in the minority, maybe less than 5% of the population in SA.
I started to focus on the positives that the majority of the black community does for this country, and was surprised. There are so many who wants to build this country to new heights, and forget the past.
This country might actually implode, but not because of black people as a whole, but because of a few power hungry greedy dictators. Trust me they are not all Black.

Why do people end up grouping people because of a racist act from one person? Have you read Daily Sun, Sowetan etc? Do you know what black people also live under? Worse coz most dont even have elctric fences, adt alarming systems and what have you. Most crimes in those areas go unreported because the police fail them. Why do you think once a black person starts earning a good salary, they dont build where they are in that Township or rural area and they instead move to the suburbs? After the killing that happened outside my nephews home in the township... my boyfriend had me pack up and move in with him in Bramley. He wont stand for me being in a taxi, nor will he stand for me living with that kind of risk with his son.

I pray you never live the life of that woman who is alone with her little girl because her husband was mugged and stabbed before the baby was born, that woman who has a wooden door to only protect her and no gate or burglar bar. All she counts on is that lock she bought from a vendor in town, its her fourth purchase in the past 2 months. The door is rotting from the rain, its old and has been kicked in one two many times. Every night is a nightmare, drunkards trip near her door, some try to get in... how long before some crazed dog knowing of her current phase knocks down that door one night whilst she and baby huddle in bed... and (Lord only knows).

Whites , Indians and Coloured are not the only victims.
Blacks live in fear as much as the other races.Rich Blacks have the same security companies taking care of their homes too.Whites , Indians and Coloureds talk about leaving but most Blacks can not leave.They are the victims of poverty, lack of education etc.
When a nation loses its humanity only a disaster may turn it around .I just wish things will get better before the disaster visits South Africa.

Well, whenever people start citing poverty as a reason for crime, I get a bit nauseous. If violent crime really was related to poverty in a fundamental way, Joburg (in fact, every cosmopolitan area in Africa, Asia, Central and Southern America, and quite a few cities in the so-called first world too) would make the battle of Stalingrad look like a Sunday picnic in comparison.
I think frustration and anger are more apt reasons, and as illustrated with the Skielik shootings, white people are not immmune to it, despite the fact that our(?) government tends to believe that we should be.
Having said that, there is one thing I always keep in mind when people start generalizing in this way; the guy who sells me my sandwiches everyday doesn't deserve my enmity because some scumbag, whose only common feature happens to be skincolor, raped a helpless old lady last night. Being the same skincolor, or speaking the same language, does not make every black person you see guilty of such a crime. And that, of course, counts for us too. (If, for whatever reason, it DOES NOT count for us, I see no reason why any of us should stay in this country)

To me the most despicable and hypocritical fact about the entire situation is that savage attacks such as described by you in your question occur on an hourly basis in South Africa, yet never really receive any attention, yet one white youth goes on a shooting spree in 15 years (Swartruggens) and it is all over the news, government ministers call on white South Africans to collectively apologise and condemn the killings and us as well as having lunatic savages singing songs about killing white farmers outside the court yet nothing is said to condemn their racist and inappropriate actions.
You can ignore the ramblings of the liberals and ANC supporters, the fact is that "racist" is merely a word created to provide Africans with impunity for their savagery and primitiveness and also to attempt at bringing us down to their outdated level of thought without anyone being allowed to speak up against such error.
Also please note that more white South Africans have been murdered in such savage and government sponsored attacks in the first 10 years of "democratic rule" than the total number of Africans presumed to have died during Apartheid, although Zim$ will deny this.

Whites in SA have better access to means of communication, and the newspapers and news seems to focus more on farm killings and these incidents because of their brutality and their unfortunate symbolism. I am not saying that crime is a perception, but the media also play a role in the crime wave. Other countries, like Brazil and Colombia suffer from similar problems as South Africa, there are also mixed populations- white, white hispanic, black, mulatto (creole/coloured) with varying degrees of socio-economic status yet in those countries crime does not automatically become a race issue like it inevitably does in SA.

Besides I was well aware of the murders then and we were just as worried.
The only difference is that nobody would blame the Govt. and now they do. As I said, I left in the 70's for the same reason that people are leaving now.
The violence levels in SA have been high for ages.
Their is a lot of corruption in many places that the public are not aware of. I don't care what anyone says, SA is a dangerous place, perhaps one of the most dangerous on the planet.
I'm not saying there is no violence elsewhere, but in SA the conviction rate is so low that the perpetrators get away with murder on a daily basis.
