What do personality tests ultimately say about you?

is it really possible to categorize the whole of the world's population into only a few groups - be it astrologically, or with real phsycometric tests? the myers-briggs test has 16 different options, all relating to the way you approach situations. even though my personality profile (ENTJ) "fits", won't your answers reflect the person YOU see as yourself, or want to be seen as, in limited situations? what are your thoughts? (exept that i have too much time to do these tests!!! which isn't half wrong!!! ;-)

Im a member of site you might enjoy. Have you heard of Tickle.com? They have a whole range of different type tests, IQ, psychometric, career based tests, also some fun ones.
And almost every week they send me a test to do that includes a full report (which you'd normally buy).
Ive learnt quite some intresting stuff about myself...

Yes i agree, it reflect how you see you so it is not fool proof - lol but it's fun sometimes to see what happens if you change a few answers

It also depends if you have PMS or not when you complete the test.

Mostly, personality tests say that you are the kind of person who bothers with personality tests.

Personally, I find them kind of odious (probably because the damn things always tell me I'm in the wrong job. Which I already know).
