Eskom power cuts the shame of South Africa?

Last night the power cuts were on BBC news. I felt really ashamed of Eskom and it hurts that our great country is humiliated in this way. Do any other South Africans here feel the hurt/anger/humiliation thing with news like this? I am quite depressed about it. Also because we have to listen to the snidey, gloating comments of people like Alf and Doom and Gloom Oom Bull which do not help to make anything better but just rub salt into the wound.
I feel sorry for people on dialisis, the companies, the restaurants and all the people who sukkel to make two rands and have to put up with this kind of kak! The SA besmirchers will continue to besmirch but as a South African idit maak my kwaad in my gedagte!!!!!
Any comments?

Yes MJ it is because deep in your heart you are a true boy from Africa and nothing will or can ever change that...I also feel ashamed but am getting worried.Did you know that the mines shut down on Friday? Anglo Platinum alone employs 80 000 workers. Like I say I am getting worried.

This Escom problem is on the news here in Germany too. It is plain embarrassing to admit that the government in SA cannot supply one of the basic needs to its people.

Wrong again. It is not the shame of South Africa but the inevitable consequences of allowing a backward race to run a Country. Have another look at Prof Richard Lynn's research:

Timesplitter - The only dumb person is you because you didnt read it properly. Look at the footnote. It says clearly that it refers to Aborigines. Pillock!

Alf, that is very harsh, I do not agree with you about the race. I do however think the government is beyond a joke.

Yes, MJ, it is causing all those feelings. The few times when it got mentioned around me, it was rather hurtful to hear how our country is being laughed at.

The power cuts have been shown on most international news and reported in news papers. The same question over and over again what about 2010.? SA better get their act together soon or the economy will go down the drain and will take years to recover.

According to that image provided by Alf Garnett, the Australians are really dumb.

Yes I live in London and I have to try and put a possitive spin on it every time someone corners me about it.
Best of all Virgin Radio is doing a competition for winning " The trip of a life-time to South Africa" :-)

Oh well, myself and my Scottish boyfriend are living like paupers to be able to move back in few years. He fell in love with sunny SA when he was there. Despite all its problems we would still give our front teeth to go there!

Lol Honey I do feeel embarrassed, cause the world is gonna watch, what's happening in South Africa and I hope Eskom will sort them self out by that time.xxx

It is a shame indeed, what's so hard with him to invest more money to provide electricity to people.

Alf makes me wanna puke...
