near shangrila, budge type but good accomodations and review

I'd recommend the YMCA. Cheap and walking distance to the malls and MRT and bus stations.

shangrila, mandrain, hyatt, are all in orchard road area, the prime district of singapore, there are no budget hotels nearby all 4 & 5 stars anything from $300 - $1000 & more

There is one hotel near Shangri-la at Stevens Road, called the Metropolitan Y which is operated by the YMCA. Its a budget accommodation hotels with both no-frills and nice rooms.
