Havinng a tourist visa means, you are for a social visit. NOT a professional seeking employement. You can go to www.mom.gov.sg and apply for EPEC. This is a pass that will allow you to stay for one year in Singapore and apply or job, provided you have the qualifications.

The application is online and free. Do not mess around with the Singaporean law. They are easy to deal with but tough to mess around. Follow the proper channels and obey the law and you will never go wrong.
