Salaams, Brothers and sisters and to anyone who has been to Mecca, Saudi Arabia?

I was wondering if you could tell me what was the experience like there, even If you live there? As I am very interested to know and I have never been there. Shokran, asalamulaikom and may Allah bless you and your family and our ummah and our beloved prophet Rasool, (saaws) insh'Allah ameen.

Very crowded. Careful. Sometimes there are stampedes from the crowd pushing one another.

i think its in any individual person its kind of different exp

Inshallah, I will get to make hajj in this year or next...
All my relatives and friends are lost for words.. They say its overwhelming and humbling. So many people from all over the world getting together for the purpose of fullfilling a religious right... to Worship together.. its amazing..
Hope you arent afraid of crowds...

It's absolutely amazing. Every time I go to the haram, I am humbled. It's so peaceful and serene (even when it's crowded). It's really nice at night.....Anyways, it's hard to explain. You have to just experience it yourself.

Asalam alaikum. I was in the 2 Holy Cities last April. While I was absolutely wonderful to see the Kabbah and the masjid of the prophet(saws) I was saddened to see the poverty everywhere. Countless people begging outside the haram...I was also surprised to see the "business like" enviroment of things. I was ripped off by a taxi drive in Medina even. So all in all it was a wonderful experience, but I did find that even there, people are still so much attached to the dunya. Salaams

Walikumaslam yes i have been there but i didnt lived there because i was living in Jeddah.
It so relaxing place.
