Reading the Quran: 3 different zaa's?
Calling all Arabic speakers and people who know how to learn the Quran properly...:

Ok, so i started reading the Quran late. My goal used to be to finish the Quran fast, but now i have changed it to reading the Quran ACCURATELY, no matter how long it takes.

Ok, so in the Arabic Alphabet, there are three differen't zaa's:
匕鈥?夭馗

I realize that the first letter is zaal, but if it's a zaal with a zabar on top, then it's still zaa..

So how do you pronounce each letter? I have an American tounge, but im going to try my best to pronounce each letter correctly. Right now, i pronounce all of them as zaa (if they all had a zabar on them)

So whats the correct way?

匕 you say it like th the
the last one i can not help u with sorry

i guess practice is the only way to improve ur pronunciation of these letters
its kind hard to show u how its said, u 'll need to hear the pronunciation so u dont get confused btwn them.

this one is just pronounced like Z in english
馗
this one is a a hard DH sound actually as if pronouncing Those (the TH in those, but stress the TH more, half between a Z and a TH sound)
匕
this is a softer TH sound as in These, that, there.. etc

but you should always remember that Quran is Allah鈥檚 speech, we should be very careful to pronounce it in the right way, it dos not mean you are not Arab you will never pronounce it correctly, there are so many non arabs reciting Quran better than some arabs ( I am an arab so I am not offending arabs) but it needs practice鈥?br> I suggest you listen to Quran reciting while reading; this is the best way to the correct reading.

Also you can voice chat with an Arab in yahoo messenger to give you the correct spelling for these alphabets.

well, I wish you luck in what you are doing. I hope you will focus on understanding the meaning of the Quarn more than the reading because we as Muslims we have a lot of problems in understanding the quran and we don't want any extremist people.

I don't know but I think its better to use an English version of the Quran. So it would be much easier for you.

For the letters I Just wanna make clear that the 3 letters are totally different in pronunciation.

夭 is like Z . Almost the same.

馗 that letter you can not find in english but it is more like d in Door , dom, or Domino.

匕 is like the word (the) exactly.
