How easy is it for someone living in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to travel to Bahrain by road?

I will be taking up a job in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Is it easy to go to Bahrain on weekends?

dont listen to Hillary.. SHOT?.. lol... obviously she doesnt live or have any info on this area..
Its quite fine and wonderful here..
I just moved out of Dhahran into Khobar myself, we have a nice new home.. its so easy to go to Bahrain.. All the people go there for a weekend visit.. or as the above person says.. You can just go there for lunch and be back.. The only negative aspect is if the customs station on the bridge is working smoothly and traffic is light.. You can sometimes get stuck there in traffic when things or their computers are moving slow.. But on good days, it takes 30-40 min to get there... We go constantly.. its a nice break from things... I have many lady friends (americans) in Aramco who hire a taxi in groups and go to Bahrain for the day to shop, have lunch etc... Just have your igama, passport ready, make sure you have an intrance exit visa current in your passport.. make sure your car papers are up to date.. and off you go.. 20SR toll for the bridge ... No charge for the visa since you reside in dhahran... You'll have fun, the shopping and restaurants are wonderful there... .. Dont let their money cunfuse you.. their paper money is dinars.. 1 Bahrain diner (the paper) is 10 riyals to us... I used to get confused and think of it as 1riyal...
they have a coin 1 halala is to our 1 riyal... .. so if something is normally 5riyals to us.. its a 500halala coin to them...
you'll get the hang of it though... just ask anyone there.. majority of all the folks speak english..and they love to chat about anything.. you'll get hung up with some shop keeper telling you their life story and asking about yours... haha!

if you are superman and don't mind being shot at yes it is very easy

Ofcourse!

I live in Riyadh, n'sometimes I go to Dammam on weekends.
You can easily go by road to Bahrain, but I think you need to get your passport with you.

Good Luck!

Well my friend are you in the military? I was" I spent plenty of time in Bahrain and ya it is a good country. Time to travel there i think less than two days!

Everyone in Khobar travel to Bahrain for lunch and back, thanks how easy it is. It's only frustrating when it's congested on the bridge to Bahrain.
