Where in Riyadh can I find beautiful and elegant but reasonably priced evening gowns?

is there a place here where I can ask them to sew me a gown following the design that I want? I am a thin girl and I think buying ready made gowns is not a good opton for me.

I would agree with mintee on that. You could even go and buy the material in places like Taibah market, and ask there the shopowner if he can recommend for you a place where they can make the clothes for you.
They have really fabulous materias at great prices.

kohl's has really cute evening gowns. and guess what?! it's a department store!!! hehe. but they are not cheap (the store, not the clothes)

Don't they make women in Riyadh wear burqas. I would doubt they would even allow evening gowns.

Most all major malls have tons of stores with womens gowns in them.. Thats all I ever see.. and the stores if you ask will alter the dresses for you
There are tailors all over, but I wouldnt have the slightest idea which one is the best for you.. You just have to ask around in the arab ladies circles and they can suggest a tailor they use..
and to the uniformed user that posted above about burkas.. duh!.. I hate responses like that..
We saudi women dress well.... If you've ever been to an evening event with women, you will be blown away at the fashions there, it rivals any Paris event...

As for your additional detail, I think that it is the other way around; I think that because you are a thin girl, you'll find lots of choices of ready-made gowns.
