Why in Saudi Arabia, paternity testing-DNA-for unmarried mothers is not regognised by Sharia Law?

We do know that according to Sharia, the punishment for adultery if one is unmarried is 100 lashes and then the woman can keep the baby,,,, but still in the birth certificate-due to the lack of recognision of DNA testing in family law-the father's name remains unknown.
The above - denying knowledge of paternity in Islam- is one of the grave sins, ie. those sins that have no forgiveness.

Currently only a man can initiate DNA testing during marriage if he suspects adultery for his wife.
Also DNA testing is used to resolve criminal cases.

I really did not get the point about the Jews here, the question is related more to the rights of the children that are born outside marriage, whether that is through rape or 2 umarried people are having and affair.

As far as my knowledge is concern Eastern Biotech & Life Sciences is offering DNA testing Services in Saudi so they must getting enough number samples. Report It

I dont know... I would assume in cases like rape and a baby results.. she could do a paternity test to help get the dude convicted...
I really dont know.. havent read or researched this much...

Why The Jews of today are afraid of taking DNA test to confirm if they are originated from Middle East and have traces of Abrahimic and Semetic origin? DNA does not only solve the crime but also can trace your origin if not few millions ago!

Probably because a child born out of wedlock has no connection to the father...he does not receive inheritance from the father nor take his last name.

Quoted from www.islam-qa.com: "With regard to the child, he belongs to his mother, and should not be named after his father. This is the ruling concerning the illegitimate child: he should not be named after his father because he was conceived in fornication, not in wedlock.

The Sharia laws treat women as inferior to man in large number of cases. Since the Saudi laws are Sharia based, I am not surprised that only men can initiate DNA testing. The framers of the laws of KSA were primitive in their outlook and education.

This does not stop with women. KSA does not allow non-muslims to be a "trust worthy witness" in the court of law.

The country is carrying out apartheid against non-muslims and women. The international community should abandon trade with Saudi Arabia (ah the oil!) like it did with South Africa in the later part 20 th century.

I wonder how KSA got left in medieval ages even with all its oil wealth.
