In Sao Paulo, what are the little lizards called?

I'm in SP, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, to be exact, and I keep seeing these little lizards with see through skin...what are they called?

Lagartixa???

They are probably some sort of gecko.

They are a type of gecko that we call lagartixa and do not kill them as they are very useful eating all kinds of insects, they help and do not harm you in any way.

hum... lagartixas some sort of geckos... they're gross and very common...
They eat insects, but they're still very gross... lol...
