What can a mom do in San Jose while her daughter is at the Fanime convention in May? |
I will be in San Jose from Friday morning till Sunday night with two girls attending the Fanime convention in May--what does anyone recommend as far as sight-seeing, shopping, restaurants, walking places? We are staying near the convention center--I'd like to walk but could drive or take public transportation. Fanime is not "crap." That's a narrow minded, judgmental answer--just what I'm hoping my daughter does NOT become in life!! Keep your blinders on--keep believing what's different is "bad," anything different is "crap," and your way is the ONLY way. I feel sorry for your kids!! There is so much to do! go to the club and get crunk I'll answer your question with another question. Why would you let your daughter go see that crap in the first place? there are museums...haha :] and lots of malls Here are a couple of links to some things to do in the area while you are here. I would definitely go to the Tech Museum which should be walking distance from your hotel. Go to Original Joe's (Italian/American food) for a meal with your daughters. It is also walking distance from the convention center. You can go to Winchester House. It is near by Valley Fair Mall. You can shop there . Try California Pizza Kitchen and Chesse Cake Factory. http://sanjose.org/ heyy. Definately go on a tour of the Winchester Mystery House. It is a really fun tour with lots of interesting and historical information. If there is transportation available she could zip up to Fremont and visit the San Jose Mission. :) Don't go to the winchester mystery house, that place is overrated and kinda lame. |
