What is a good hotel in San Jose, CA near the downtown clubs?

My two friends and I are traveling to San Jose, CA for a foosball tournament at Cuetopia in just over two weeks. We want to check out the club scene in San Jose and would like a hotel near them. Is there a hotel that isn't over-the-top but still a nice place? Please help!!!

San Jose has a stretch of many different night clubs within about a 1 mile radius. There's tons of hotels near them... you might want to check the DeAnza hotel... it's nice and right on the main street where most night clubs are located. There's also the Marriot and the Hyatt St. Claire, which are around the corner from other night clubs and bars.

Check out the Hilton San Jose - its hella nice - not too pricy on the weekends - and its walking distance to all of the clubs/bars!

San Jose Sheraton is pretty nice as well. THere are tons of places to stay in San Jose.

Saint Claire is the nice one and its right around the corner of all the 1st street bars and across the street from Cesar Chavez park. Right in the middle of everything.

Ramada Inn is pretty good..

Hilton is a bit more "pricey".

I know they have a nice hotel in Santa Row (across from valley fair shopping mall). They have a lot of clubs, good restaurants, and shops around the area. Just search Hotel Valencia Santa Row on google and it will show you the hotel.
