Places in San Francisco?

Last time i went there, my friends and i went to that new westfield mall on market st. DEFINATELY NOT WHERE WE WANTED TO GO.

But anyway i've heard there were some other places like "Union Street" or "Union Square" (are they the same thing?) and "JapanTown" and "Little Italy" have nice places to shop at. Like someone told me to go to the mall with a Macy's that was like 2 stories high? Could someone give me the names of the malls or the address or general area of where in SF i should be going at to shop?

What I`m really interested in shopping for are shoes and jackets. (Friend told me there was a shop there that sold really nice af1s and dunks?)

im just looking for places with stores like: Ecko, Anchor Blue, Against All Odds ...

or stores that sell shoes like: Jordans, Dunks, Nikes, SBs, Air Forces...

Macy's is on Union Square, which is an expensive area to shop. That Macy's is six stories high. The two-story Macy's is in Stonestown Mall (and in my opinion is not such a good store); but Stonestown has lots of other stores.

Also just off Union Square there's an H&M, my personal shopping mecca.

Union Street is in the Marina District, and has nice, although also expensive, stores.

Japantown has some fun little stores, but it's not a major shopping district.

Union Square (Market & Powell) is the hub of chain/department stores in the city. Union Street is independent boutiques (ie: not chain stores).

Japantown doesn't really have much in the way of stores you're looking for.

North Beach (NOT "Little Italy"... which is in New York) is Italian, and also has lots of Beat era history... bookstores, nice restaurants, a pretty church... not much in the way of chain/department stores you're looking for.

Union Square (where the big Macy's is), Westfield Mall, and Stonestown Mall are the hubs of chain stores, so if that's what you're looking for, that's where you should go. San Francisco only has a few areas with such stores, but tourists always seem to find them.

Honestly, it seems a little ridiculous going to a different city just to shop at stores that are in every other medium to large sized town in the country, but... meh. If you care to check out boutiques that have much nicer clothes (and cater to various tastes), try Union St, Fillmore St (north of Geary), Hayes and Fell streets in Hayes Valley, and Haight St.

I highly highly suggest not the Sana Cruz, but the Alcatraz tour..awsome.
All fishing men's wharf is great.

If you like delicate, light cakes 1"x2" , with soft cloud lite whip cream frosting, and lots of delicate choice - Choose can in boxes like you'd choice donut, BUT NO comparison
