We've decided to snowboard and stay in the Tahoe area...Where's a great place to stay near Squaw?

So I'm looking to stay somewhere a little nicer than a hotel, but don't need the accomdations of a condo...would like a spa bath (honeymoon), fireplace, and close to the lifts....any one have any advice...

stay at sqaw valley. they have a few nice hotels, and there are tons of condos there. the Plump Jack Squaw Valley Inn is awesome. The Village is also nice.

How about staying right at Squaw. It's a full service resort.

you have a few options. even though you mentioned that you don't want a condo & something higher than a hotel, squaw is the closest location to itself for it's ski in, ski out suites.

though the other options you have are staying in a cabin/lodge either in the tahoe city area (not far from the resort plus with the lake in vicinity) or in truckee. in tahoe city, you should take a look at sunnyside resort. it's romantic.
