What are the best areas of san diego to live in that have reasonable rates for apartments?

I am looking for a 2b, but can only afford about $900-1200 per/mo.

FINALLY!!!, if i could give you 10 points, i would.
Your the first person who has ever asked for
"reasonably priced" that actually included a price range.
The apartments i live in are 925 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath, and 1025 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath. Good size.
In the good part of El Cajon. Deposit is 600
El cajon is good (some parts) Chula Vista, La Mesa. Those are decent areas of san diego that i think you could find something.
I just dont know the other areas of San diego, at least not what rent goes for. I recommend craigslist.com It's very up to date and generally accurate.
E mail me if you want more info

i'm not sure if there are 2bdrms for that much, i pay almost 1300 for a 1bdrm in chula vista. start searching online

I would suggest looking in Ocean Beach or north county areas like Vista, Oceanside, Fallbrook,Leucadia.

Hillcrest is another area to look at.

their isnt anything that is that cheap really
its san diego
but i would stray from the beach areas even crapy ones like OB are goingto be expensive
try santee, lakeside, la mesa
east county tends to be on the more reasonable side

also the further inland you go the less expensive it is

i lived in santee paid $1075 for a 2bd 2bth
