If i move to san diego do you think i will have time to drive to the beach to go surfing before work?

maybe, depends on where you live, where you work, what time you have to be at work, where you want to surf....

But it's entirely possible. I used to live in Pacific Beach and surfed as much as I could before, after, and during work, but then I worked across the street from where I worked and less than a block from the beach and my boss surfed so it was a lot easier.

But if you have to come west on the I-8 or down the I-5 or I-15 or up the 805, leave early, really early

really

Depends where you live. I suggest you look for a place in Pacific Beach on northward to La Jolla. There are nice towns north of La Jolla within commuting distance of the city. Depends on where you will work. Nothing beats an early morning surf.

don't get sidetracked by the movies or peoples comments.... don't just think this is paradize..'cause its not!

If you like to surf as much as most of us you'll find a way.

i would say depends on where you live, and what time you work. If you can wake up early enough, and dont go in till 9 or 10, its deffinetly possible.
The further away you live from the beach makes it harder and harder, thats also true the further you work from the beach.
Most people never mention Imperial Beach. Its one of San Diego's southern most beaches. It has a bad Rep, mostly earned, but it has been really cleaned up and turned around.

I lived in Ocean Beach for years; lots of surfers live there, living within a couple blocks of the beach. Getting up to surf before work or school is pretty routine around there.

If you have to drive to surf I think that reduces how often you'll be surfing, as compared to living at the beach.
