I'm from San Diego and I got this parking tix for $290! What happen if I don't pay and have anyone got more

They will issue a bench warrant and it will keep you from renewing your license. They have you by the you know what's. If you are from out of the area they won't come hunt you down so don't be too concerned. Sorry

LOL that guy is an idiot. What they do is two possible things. They will either bill this onto your next registration, along with any fees. Or they will send it to a collection agency, which will most likely be Alliance One and they can put a hold on your license, until you have made arrangements with them or pay the bill. By the way once it gets to Alliance One they tack on an additonal $300!!! So if I were you I would call the court to make payment arrangements or pay it. By the way what kind of ticket was it? I mean $290!!! what did you do park in a handicap?

call the court right away, make a payment arrangement before the go to collections, you can make real small payments if you want.

the state will take it out of your taxes next year

if you don't pay, they will usually just send you to collection but if it says on the ticket that you have to go to court and you dont show then they will issue a warrant.

that first guy is NOT an idiot! cops can arrest you for unpaid parking tickets lol, it sounds ridiculous but true

One other possibility not mentioned elsewhere: if you do this kind of thing a lot (ignore parking tix) they can put a "boot" on your car's tire so you can't drive it until you've paid your debt to society. Happened to a friend of mine. Not just expensive, also annoying and embarrasing and inconvenient.
