Infor mation about local salzburg?

i will be holidaying wityh my family in karl henrich waggerl strasse 9, 5640 bad gasteinand also information about car rental and their fares and contacts for 8 people and current prices of grocery and which clothes are suitable in may and june

Have a look here - it's US site of the Austrian Tourist Information. If you scroll down a little you will find two links to Car Rental Companies.
Besides the two advertising there you will also find other companies here like Hertz, Sixt, Avis

http://www.austria.info/xxl/_site/us/_ar...

Also ask with your travel agency they sometimes get better fares than you can get.
There will not be many types around seating 8 people - for example VW Microbus. Please note that in Austria each person in a car has to use a destinct seat - meaning you can't put two children on one seat. Children need children seats when too small for a normal seat and you have to use safety belts on all seats (also in the rear).
When you rent the car make sure it has the toll sticker for the highways (especially if you rent it in a neighbouring country).
Prices for grocery are reasonable in supermarkets (Spar, Billa, Adeg) but with the current Euro - Dollar exchange rate you may regard them as high. They are probably cheaper than in France, Italy or the UK and approx. at the same level as in Germany. Look out for stickers that say "Aktion" when shopping - that means those items are lowered in price to attract buyers but are regular items concerning quality.
It looks like you are planning long time ahead - for May in June in Bad Gastein you will have to bring clothes for warm and cold weather - it can be sunny and between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius (between 76 and 85 Fahrenheit) and it can be rainy with temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius (40掳 F). As Bad Gastein lies in the Alps weather can change rapidly and even fresh snow on the mountain tops is possible. So bring shorts and T-Shirts as well as sweaters, long trousers and rain jackets. If you plan to hike good shoes are a must.

in June you need summer clothes generally but not too little.....today in Graz my girlfriend tells me it was 37c and tomorrow 39 or 40 is expected.....it certainly is not cold at the times you ask about.......i can tell you Austria is not as expensive as it used to be nor is Germany.....they are very healthy people and KFC is not allowed in the country so i believe......although Austria is said to be small .it will take a good 8 hours to get from Vienna to Bregenz on lake Constance"Bodensee" where Germany..Austria & Swizerland meet.......Graz which is i believe the second largest city after Vienna is two hours drive from Vienna and is very historic and beautiful.....to be honest..if you have never been to Austria then your first time will feel like your in wonderland.....prices for drinks and food seem to have an average where ever you are ..for example a large beer/bier and a cup of coffee at the gast hause/cafe/restaurant will be less than 5 euro which is 拢3.50..it is waiter service and tipping is in my expierience(my girlfriend is Austrian) is around 20 to 50 euro cents or of course what you want to pay...i hired a car about 5 years ago without my license however i gave my place of stay..usually you are not allowed to leave austria insurance wise in your hire car
