Is It True That People Wait Outside to Beat Up Gays in Russia?

I read on some websites some people wait outside gay clubs to do this, especially the bigger cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Any truth in it for those who have visited the country?

I lived in Moscow for a little over a year & been there dozens of time also. There are Neo-Nazi's there that target anyone who doesnt fit in.

I never saw them wait outside nightclubs to beat up gays, but if they run into them while drunk or mad they will beat on them as well as anyone else they decide to.

If you are there on Hitler's Birthday you need to stay inside becuase they roam the streets looking for trouble one year they burned down a dorm wing that housed foreign students killing a bunch they are a bad crowd.
