Last name in Russia?

What do u know about the Russian last name "Levin"?

does it matter for you how it translates? A Son of a Lion or a Dragon Squirrel with gold Nuts or something Biblical? Unlike this one a big bulk of Russian surnames sound really bizarre. Sutrapjan, Achudubaachujeliszvili or Czerezzabordriszczenko for example!

cant u find it

it's actually a Russian-Jewish last name

I am positive thats not a Russian last name
Jews living in Russia have it because
it is a jewish last name
jews all over the world have the Levin surname

also where you might hear that last name

Tolstoy [famous Russian writer]
in his famous novel "Anna Karenina"
named a main character
Konstantin Dmitrich Levin [who married Princess Kitty]
but the character is not Jewish for certain
so Tolstoy made a mistake on that one lol
