Brazil Native?

I'm looking to talk to a Brazilian native because I have plans on visiting Brazil on a yoga retreat, but I also want to check out some places. Some people from Yahoo answer told me that Rio was a great place to visit. What's the most affordable way to go to Brazil and have fun?

I organized a yoga retreat once in Buzios when I managed a small hotel there, it was amazingly popular and all the guests who took the course were foreigners.
It was pretty cool to have all those relaxed people around.

Rio is the most famous city. Is a very beatibul city.
But the best restaurants, culture, variety is in Sao Paulo, the bigger city (the NY of Brazil).
After you living 30 yars in sao paulo, you dont know the city very well.

Is the city most visited, because business tourism.

This city have towns like Bexiga, that is a Italian town, Liberdade is a japanese town.

If you like Samba, dont is the city for you.
If you like night is the perfect city.

But everubody in others states come to sao paulo, to get job, and because this have misery too.

Is teh second bigger city in americas. and 15 millions people.

Is 5 hour, by car, far from Rio de janeiro.

If you want to see beautiful beaches you should go to Maceio in the Jeriquaquara Beach, it's one of the most beautiful beach in the world, if you want a cold beach with nice restaurants and cool people you should go to Rio de Janeiro in the city of Cabo Frio, the bikinis there are very chip and really cute!!!!
If you want a cultural city with nice museums, parks and chip things you should go to Sao Paulo in the city of Sao Paulo
If you want to go in a place just for fun with a lot of nice restaurants, bars and a beautiful mountains and rivers you should go to Minas Gerais in the city of Belo Horizonte.
I tell you that the city of Rio de Janeiro it's not very good because the violence, but you can go to the State of Rio de Janeiro in the city of Cabo Frio or Regiao dos lagos, there is safe and beautiful
