How do i find a place for 10 - 15 people to stay for up to 1 month in February?

We would like to be either close to Copacabana / Ipenema / Vila Isabel. One or Two houses... good level of security. Do we need an agency?

It is better to search for a travel agency that you can trust. Just one tip for you that can be really important: even there are flight direct to Rio de Janeiro, the international airport there is really in a not safety area until you get the hotel. So, ask for a flight ticket to Guarulhos (international airport of S茫o Paulo) and take a NATIONAL FLIGHT to Santos Dumont Airport at Rio de Janeiro. This is a very small airport that has been used just for flight from S茫o Paulo-Rio and Rio-S茫o Paulo (they call this PONTE A脡REA). You can pay for the taxi inside the baggage area and it is really better if you does not know Rio before.

If i were you i would go to a travel agent. They may be able to find condos for you to rent out there. it would also be safer esp if you dont know the area.

i agree.. look up travel agents in your area .. they may more about the situation since Brazil is a common country for tourists..
