How to go to Shirdi from Pune by road?

drive on national highway no 50 up to sangamner and then take right turn for bhableswar via nimbagaon,loni. and from bhabaleshwar take left for sirdi.

There are several ways to reach Shirdi -- hire a private taxi, take a long distance bus or train or drive down from Pune or Mumbai. You can plan a one-day trip or book yourselves into a hotel in Shirdi and make it a two-day trip to visit the temple.

Once you reach Shirdi, it looks like a small town bursting at the seams. There is a lot of noise, dust and pollution. As you near the premises of the main temple of the Sai Baba, you will find several people vying for your attention, trying to coax you into parking your car in their private parking lots -- for a fee.

The nearest airport is Aurangabad (144 Km/90 mile) which Sri Saibabais connected by Indian Airlines and private airlines with other cities / towns. The convinent rail heads are Nasik(123 Km/76 mile) and Manmad (60 Km/37 mile). Shirdi is well connected by Road with Mumbai via Nashik-Sinnar and Manmad. You can get the taxis from Dadar-Mumbai (Journey Time-7 hours) up to Shirdi or you can get the Luxury Coach for Shirdi or take a train up to Nasik and take a taxi for Shirdi.

If you are riding yourself, get onto the Pune-Nasik highway. Travel till Sinnar on the highway. From Sinnar take a diversion to reach Shirdi. Alternately you can goto to Ahmednagar and from thereon connect to Shirdi. It's very easy as everybody knows where Shirdi is. Just ask for the directions when you are on the road.
