My friends and I are going to Puerto Vallarta Mexico in July. What can expect. Anything I should check out?

We are first timers to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We are all close friends and want to make our experience a very memorable one. When in Puerto Vallarta what are the top things that we should be aware of. What should we take advantage of while we are there.

We just got back from our 3rd year in PV. Some fun things to do ...

- El Eden Canopy Tour (Ziplining over the jungle at the movie set of Predator)
- Whale Watching Tours
- Scuba Diving at Los Arcos
- Taquila Tours
- City Tours (these are cheaper and last most of the day but go downtown, fleamarkets, churches, taquila factories, and usually lunch too)
- Release the Sea Turtle babies
- Shop, Shop, Shop!

And I also highly recommend you get an estimate from your hotel consierge on how much taxi rides should cost. You'll get the best price from hotel to destination, but sometimes taxi's will try to get more for the ride back.

When we went there we stayed in a villa and it was very nice. I would recommend staying in one they are great and you can find them for cheap. Try going to www.greatrentals.com

Also going out one day and renting a boat is a great idea. Obviously going to the beach...maybe rent some surf boards and try surfing.

For resturants there are some that are right on ther beach wich is fun.

Also the sunsets there are finominol! Take time to watch these!

first and foremost ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask "how much" before hopping into a cab!!! we stayed at golden crown resort and it was a five dollar fare to downtown which wasnt bad.
if you are going with other couples check out the rhytham of the nights cruise! we didnt take it two years ago when we were there but we are this summer when we go back for our honeymoon.
if you get an all-inclusive package you will have a blast!!!! most resorts at night provide a party bus for like twenty a person and you go bar hopping! we didnt do that since my fiance plays in a band almost every weekend so we wanted a break from the bar scene.
