Away from the tourist scene near Puerto Vallarta? |
My husband and I are going to Puerto Vallarta in April for a relative's wedding. Big resorts and touristy areas are not the way we usually travel. We are not into the bar scene and would rather experience culture and nature. We prefer the "off the beaten trail" traveling, eating where the locals eat, and we love outdoor activities both land and sea. So are they any cool day trips or special places (eateries, beaches, hikes, etc...) in the area that anyone can recommend? The best thing to do is to sign up for the bulletin board on "www.vallartainfo.com". It is the place to find out first-hand from locals, on places to go and things to do. Ask JR and the others, and look up what others have asked by using "search" I would recommend a little town near puerto vallarta called "bucer铆as", it's more typical and people is really nice. Other cool place you should visit is Punta de Mita it's about an hour but it's great if you like shipping. For outdoor activities i would recommend something in puerto vallarta since they are more organized and safe. |
