What kind of activities should we do in PV?

We have a 5 and 7 year old. We'll be there the first week of march. Staying at AI in Nayarit. Would love some suggestions.

You will be some distance from Puerto Vallarta, depending on where in Nayarit you are staying. It is probably about a $20 cab ride to downtown, but you will have to visit once or twice. Go to Pipi's for dinner (it serves good Gringo food). The cab driver will know where it is. If you want a glorious view, try Las Carmelitas (the highest restaurant), or Barcelona Tapas (up many stairs, but worth the climb), Vista Grill, El Set, El Panarama, or about 1500 restaurants around the bay, many world class.
After dinner, walk the malecon (boardwalk), especially on a weekend evening, but any night. They have an outdoor theater, Los Arcos, that has many children's show, with a bandstand across the street, many vendors, great "street food" like roasted seasoned corn, in a cup, and ices, and dessert crepes. They have performers and sculptures and it is the best way to feel Mexico. There is also a flea market for daytime shopping (prices are negotiated=fun).
Bucerias, a town in Nayarit, is also a good place for a visit, with its own shopping, beach, and restaurants.

id just look for fun things (age apropriate) for the kids to do. dont spoil them, and share some time for yourself to

drinking is out then, try swimming... building sand castles... collecting sea shells
