Cottages / Villas in Provence?

Does anybody know of any cottages or villas available for rent in Provence in the first 2 weeks of July? I'm looking for a quiet place for 2 people and a dog.

Thanks

Try Ownersdirect.com I always use them and have picked up some great deals in provence such as a medieval town house in Grimaud in the main weeks (july/aug) for 500euros

Parker Villas at http://www.palmerparker.com has some very nice houses but mostly not cheap!! :-)

Hiya,

Have a look at Gites de France web site.

http://www.gites-de-france.com/gites/uk/...

Gites de France are houses everywhere around France that you can rent for your holidays.
There are the best !
Good luck !

I have been holidaying for the last ten years or so in France, mainly in and around the town of Uzes, nr Nimes/Avignon. I have always found my holiday accomodation on www.frenchconnections.co.uk. I have even used them again this year.

There's these sites:
http://www.provencalestates.com/Provence...
http://www.rentalsfrance.com/provence_co...
http://www.luxuryretreats.com/villas/eur...

As a resident nature-lover, I'm always looking for gorgeous places to get away from the crowds in July... so there's my bias.

If you're looking for green spaces rather than beaches, a countryside that's still quiet in July with enough historical and natural sites to keep you fascinated, you might want to look in the "back-country" away from the coast. Check out the area around Correns, Cotignac, Tourtour (Departement 83). Or the Alpes de Haute Provence (Departement 04).

The French site http://www.gites-de-france-paca.fr/ lists "rural" home rentals that are usually very comfortable and affordable. Pick your destination, and then see the home available. It's in French, but if you know "chambre" is room and "personne" is person, you're already half way there...

If you're looking for fancier villas, I've heard good things about http://rentvillas.com/

Have a great time.
