Cottages / Villas in Provence? |
Does anybody know of any cottages or villas available for rent in Provence in the first 2 weeks of July? I'm looking for a quiet place for 2 people and a dog. www.rightmove.co.uk Try Ownersdirect.com I always use them and have picked up some great deals in provence such as a medieval town house in Grimaud in the main weeks (july/aug) for 500euros Parker Villas at http://www.palmerparker.com has some very nice houses but mostly not cheap!! :-) Hiya, I have been holidaying for the last ten years or so in France, mainly in and around the town of Uzes, nr Nimes/Avignon. I have always found my holiday accomodation on www.frenchconnections.co.uk. I have even used them again this year. There's these sites: As a resident nature-lover, I'm always looking for gorgeous places to get away from the crowds in July... so there's my bias. |

Hi, There is a free shuttle from Marseille airport to Marseille train station. From there, you can take the train to Toulon. I'm sure there is a TGV (high speed train) between the two citie... - Aix en Provence - Les Baux de Provence - Marseille - Cassis - Avignon - the Lub茅ron area - N卯mes - Var islands (Porquerolles, Embiez, Levant,...) - Gorges du Verdon - Nice - Eze - Cap-... I live in southern France. Just got back from my local Carrefour, and prices for two (for a week) were 70 euros. If you are really going to go on a shoe-string, I would recommend you allow around 1... Yes and No The flower market is on the Cours Saleya between the Ponchettes and the Vieux-Nice (Old Town). I'd say it's nearby. It takes place on the western side of the market. Try the old village of Eze just in the hills near Nice. You can see it here ... Its the Monument du Centenaire which commemorates the annexation of Nice and its incorporation in the French state. The figure on top is indeed, Nike, Greek goddess of Victory. ...You will certainly have no trouble finding Brits, but there are plenty of other nationalities too, including French.
