How much state funding do Toulon's buses get? |
I am working on a research project comparing the bus system in my home town of Columbia, SC to the similar-sized city of Toulon in France. The American Public Transportation Association publishes detailed figures for the amount of government funding that America's transit systems receive, but I have been unable to find similar figures for French systems. Can anybody point me in the direction of a reliable source for such figures, preferably in English, though I can use Babelfish to translate if it is in French? I found this site, and hopefully it will help...it has contact information, so maybe you can call in and ask the French Bus Transportation company how much funding Toulous gets?: French public transportation is funded according to a very simple formula. I am a Belgian citizen and I have lived a long time near Toulon and I am afraid walyank is right. Knowing what is the part of the state contribution means knowing which part is going under the table to corrupt political parties and politicians. |
