What are some recommendations for a week on the Cote d'Azur? |
Are there some places that won't be so loaded with tourists or is the whole place overrun? Thanks. Try the old village of Eze just in the hills near Nice. You can see it here http://www.a-taste-of-france.com/old-vil... The village of Biot is nice; lots of potteries! Cannes is always crowded, and most of the beach is restricted to various hotel guests (although you can go there for a fee); the small public beach is pretty crowded. St. Paul de Vence is charming. Hire a car and drive inland a bit. You're going to have a hard time finding peace there at this time of year! One of the places to visit on the Riviera is the "arriere pays", which comprises of smaller cities and towns/villages further away from the coast. They are so much nicer than the places like Nice, Cannes and even St Tropez. See here : Hi from Nice ! |
