Can anyone help me find a homestay family in Nice?

I want to stay with a French family in Nice for 6 weeks from 1st July 2007, although this date is flexible! I've tried using the homestayweb and homestayfinder websites but have had no luck. I would like to be within walking distance of the centre and I don't mind children or pets.

It's a bit dangerous asking that on the net. Why not ring up a local secondary school to see if they have any addresses
