To the residents of Nice?

I would like to know what are the favourite spots for residents in Nice, where you prefer spending your free time in your beautiful city and what are your favourite activities that has something to do with the city. I mean, are you just like tourist that much in love with Le Prom des Anglais or The Old Nice, where do you go to the beach (because of all the rocks you have there), where do you prefer to shop (I know you have great shops in your city) and where do you like to go out at night? Also, I heard there are some places one should avoid at night and that in general you shouldn't wander around the city alone at night, is this true? And one more thing, that original bulding that looks like a giant head in a box, is it true there is The Central Library of Nice in there? Thanks.

For me :

* best places in Nice are the hills and the seashore, and the Colline du Ch芒teau
* beaches : Villefranche and La R茅serve (near the harbor)
* shopping : Nice Etoile and Cap 3000
* night spots : L'脭dace, l'Ev茅nement
* to avoid : Les Moulins, l'Ariane, Pasteur
For the head box it's true, it's part of the central library.

Have fun in the most beautiful French city :-)
