Wedding in Provence (Suggestions for Locations)?

Some good friends of mine are trying to locate a place in Provence, France to get married. They are getting married over July 4th weekend, 2008. Somewhere near Avignon is probably their top pick, since the town has a lot to offer with a lot of activity during that time of year (arts and drama festivals). They would like to have the ceremony nearby, in the country somewhere, where the views are crazy and the smells are wonderful. So ideally they would stay in the country but be near a major town so guests could go sightseeing etc. during their visit.

They would like to find a place where all guests can stay in the same locale. So the venue would need to accommodate at least 100 people. But, they would also like it to be reasonable...under $300/night for guests to stay.

If anyone out there has suggestions that might fit this please let me know. Thanks!

Well, Avignon would have a lot of places to choose from, and of course fit the bill.

Arles would be another good choice nearby. Smaller, less dominated by the Catholic Church (if they're not Catholic, that'd be good, right?).

I'm very partial to Aix-en-Provence.

They might prefer a place on the Mediterranean, though that probably jacks up the price and restricts the choices. There are great views from up on Cap Canaille, and people could stay in Cassis and/or La Ciotat.
