All from Provence and you are right they are nicer in a way than the big cities.something different to offer and a slower pace. Also they are the true provence now.

Nice a very nice place!

I agree with reccomendations from the guy from Aix. I spent 3 whole monthes in a village near those places called Lacoste. It is near Apt, Bonnieux, and Gordes. I suggest spending a day or 2 in as many as you can. Or, pick one and stay for your whole vacation and do a series of day trips. You can't really go wrong anywhere in Provence, as the area is quite beautiful, especially in the spring. The people are mighty friendly too. Very relaxing place!

I would say what the guy from Aix en Provence said. ha nice one. Also that Cezanne exhibit in Aix last summer was so great. I love your town, my boyfriend went to highschool there as well.

Vaison la Romaine, Malaceune, Gigondas - all very close, not touristy; terrific wines. I bicycled there this summer; possibly the place place on earth to ride if you're interested.

So many tips. It is better for you to have a look at this link http://provence-alpes-cote-dazur.c-lafra...

Bonbon has given a great list, but forgotten a few...
Orange with the roman amphitheater
Boll茅ne (I have friends there)
Pont Saint Esprit
Digne-les-Bains
Avignon (a must)
Carpentras
All of Provence is worth visiting, and as someone else said in their answer...springtime is the best...especially when the mimosa is in blossom, or a bit later when the fields of lavender are in full bloom!
