Oregon towns!!!!!!!? |
When I graduate High school I want to move to Oregon.....I've only been in the desert and plains part of Oregon, so this summer me and my mom are going to take a trip up there to explore towns and cities along the coast, because I want to live along the coast with the pine trees and water....no deserts please cuz I already live in one! ;) You have some of options. If you are aiming for a larger school, you can go to UofO in Eugene. The only downside to that is Eugene isn't anything close to great place to live. You could also go for Oregon State in Corvallis. It's like a small city, but not touristy. If you want a smaller school you could go to Linfield in McMinnville, Willamette in Salem, Western Oregon in Monmouth or Pacific in Forest Grove. Eugene is your answer. The only problem with Eugene is that it is infested with Liberals. Well, there's no Universities on the coast, but the closest thing you'll find is the Oregon State University Marine Research Center out in Newport, over by the Oregon Aquarium. Corvallis is home to OSU, though, and that's just over the mountain. Try there. I'd also recommend Portland (Portland State Univ.) and Eugene (Univ. Of Oregon). I'd try recommending Ashland (Southern Oregon University), but that's desert, just north of the Californian border. Hope it helped. I would recommend Medford or Ashland area, it is surrounded by Mountains- to Ski- and only a couple of hours to the Pacific Ocean. Ashland is a cool college town with lot of things happening, also theirs the "Shakespeare" festival which is real popular. You should either move to Newport or Portland Portland is an hour and a half drive from the best pine-trees-and-water coastal areas (Ecola, Oswald West, and Cape Lookout State Parks). It has Portland State University and lots of smaller colleges. It's not a little town though. Some people do commute from the coast to Portland, which you could do for school if you're up for the daily drive. In that case you could live in Seaside or Canon Beach, which are both small tourist towns. Pacific University in Forest Grove is a good small school. ummm why are you asking this in the Orlando area? |
