How often does it rain in corvallis oregon ?

I want to move there and am a bit scared about how much rain they get. I love the rain but i love the sun as well. I can look up how many inches of rain they get but i want to hear it from somone who lives there. Thank you!!!

I have not lived there, but I have spent a great deal of time there, and my brother went to college there.

It's weather is similar to any other Willamette Valley location. It rains on about 1 out of every 3 days, including summer.
Pretty much from October to May, with a few 2-3 week long breaks, it rains almost everyday. It's also overcast most of this period. When it does rain, it's very weak and/or wery short.

There sometimes are very cold, but very dry breaks in the winter, and an occasional week or two of mid-summer in March through April.

From the end of May to the end of September, it's usually very sunny and anywhere from 65-95, but usually 70-80. In the early parts of the summer, it does rain occasionally, but mostly dry.

The inches of rain are low, not because it never raines, but because when it rains, it does so in either long period of very light rain, or very short burts of heavy rain. It's rare to have more than an inch of rain in one day.

I have had OSU Football Season Tickets for 8 years there. The Season (Sept-Nov.) you would think would fall in the normally rainy time of year, however in 8 years I have had to dress with rain gear maybe 2-3 times to sit outdoors for three hours. Never buckets of rain as described in another post, just mists and light rain typically.
Thats not to say it cannot get it's share of rain, but in the valley as Corvallis is, (Core-Valley) (center-valley) the temps are mild and the rain not nearly as bad as at the coast.

It's Not as bad as you think. Summer is about 80-95 degree range perfect!

In January and Febuary you might get some snow.

It rains the most in the spring and fall, but its no rain forest!
