What are some fun stuff to do in portland oregon? |
i have a exchange student and his family coming back to visit and i need to find some stuff to do with them. For a real p-town experience go to 1. voodoo doughnuts, is an experience in its self. Right now Saturday market is closed but that鈥檚 a super summer thing. Jakes grill is amazing. Or for something a lot less main stream try the roxy for a bite to eat. The Avalon/wonderland theater is cheep movies and 5 cent arcade games. The rocky horror picture shows every Saturday at 12 in the Clinton street theater. And the fox tower is more sophisticated. There is also the Keller auditorium holds great shows and if your short on money the fountains across the street are amazing. Also givin the blazers recent winning streak the rose garden lexus level seats are super, free food and all. And just around the corner from that is an indoor paint ball arena. Theres also plenty of clubs, under and over age. Under- the zone and over my friends say barracuda is super. And if you are looking for something a little more scenic try the Columbia river gorge or Multnomah falls. And last but not least if your looking for something quirky and small try Multnomah village or hillsdale. They are cute little old main street types of things with small stores and good eats. In Multnomah try the fat city caf茅. It really all depends on what you are looking for and what time, budget and age. But of all places ive been I love Portland the most. Its amazing just wandering around down town you can find the greatest stuff. Saturday market; take them up in that building with the restaurant that has a 360-degree view of the city; drive out to the Columbia River Gorge and visit the Columbia River Hotel; the Chinese Rose Garden. |
