I live in San Francisco but getting tired of it. Is Portland OR a friendly place to live? |
I am middle aged and gay and have lived in SF for eight years sp ----> Portland Indeed, Portland is a super friendly place...almost too friendly some would say. For example....you're at a stop light and it turns green. The car in front of you just sits there...and sits...and sits...but no one honks! Well...I honk, but most don't. If you want a place similar to SF, but more oriented to the elderly and family friendly (with a sizable gay population), I would suggest Seattle, WA. I also reccomend you check out seattle, but yes portland also has everything you are looking for Portland is gay friendly, and has a large gay community. The gay community has lots of social activities for all ages and interests. |
