Living in Clackamas county oregon?

I am looking to relocate to Clackamas county in OR... I want to be near Portland but maintain a much lower cost of living. I like country setting and the outdoors. Can anyone give me some insight and details on this area? Pro's and Con's
I will be working in Tigard.

Yes, it depends on whether you're renting or buying.
If you are buying, keep in mind that Portland area home prices are expected to drop by 7% in the next five years according to Money dot com.
If you are renting, it is currently what we in the business call a landlord's market. The inventory of apartments has been extremely low for the last 18 months, and rentals are fetching top dollar.
Finally, I personally would not want to commute from anywhere in Clackamas County to Tigard. Perhaps the city of Newberg would be more appropriate.

Justin, I live in Clackamas county, I am curious as to whether or not you you want to share a house?, rent?, buy?. The housing availability in this area is fairly grim. If I was you I would check out the websites of Portland's newspapers, The Oregonian, and also Willamette Week( see my page and the answer I gave to my last "best answer
"), also,craigslist Portland has Clackamas,Washington, and Yamhill county listings. Eagle Newspapers produce the Canby Herald, Wilsonville Spokesman, Newberg Graphic,and several other local papers that you can peruse rentals etc.I recommend that you also map out a radius of the area you will be working to find out the most rural area's. Like most areas this is becoming increasingly populated and some areas are pretty much untouchable to the "average Joe",but with diligence you may squeak into a good situation.
