I live in Oregon what is Oregons reputation, whats wrong with it?

The only bad thing about Oregon, and it's Portland specific, is that all the homeless from around the country come here. Even people from Alaska come to be homeless here.

I just ask why?!! I'd rather be homeless somewhere tropical if I'm gonna travel to a place just to be homeless!!!!

Portland has a great reputation. It is the new Seattle.

all i know about oregon is that they grow alot of bud there. and theres a bunch of stuff to do in the outdoors. i dont think theres anything wrong.

I currently live in Michigan but I lived in Portland for two years. Oregon has a great reputation from people in the Midwest but the only bad thing I continually see in the news is the reports about the homeless kids. Personally I never saw a lot of that when I lived there but the rest of the country see's those reports and thinks that is what the whole city is all about. The other thing people always say is "it rains there alot right?"

Oregon the state is great, beautiful in fact. It's the local government that SUCKS! BIG TIME. It does rain alot in the pacific NW and most dont like ti, but thats how we get such beautiful scenery.....
And all these "homeless" comments, I dont get it, where do you all live man?

Oregon really doesnt seem too bad to me or seem to have a bad reputation. At least here (Denver) I think most of us just think of lots of rain and hippies when we think of Oregon. O and the high homeless rate in Portland but thats about it.
