If you live in a place where it rains a lot, like Portland, what do you do for fun when it's raining?

Same stuff you would do for fun if it isn't raining. It takes time to get use to it, but people in Portland go out in the rain all the time.

I live in portland so my time is spent reading a book or too. :) Not much fun but is relaxing..

Everything you would normally do. Us natives to the Pacific NW don't let the rain stop us from having fun...it's nothing more than liquid sunshine:o) Hike, ride your bike, go see a movie, go to a coffee shop and bring a good book or good friends!

i go run out in it and have fun you get use to it . there are alot of things during the rainy time to do indoors there are lots of malls too!!

Jump barefoot in the puddles!

We don't fear rain in Portland, we go out in it! We just spend a little bit less time on our hair because in 15 mins it's not going to matter anyway.

My husband likes playing football in the rain with his friends, something about being covered from head to toe in mud makes him feel like more of a man. I like to read when it rains, and cook.

We both like taking walks with the dogs, and browsing the bookshelves of powells as going in there can keep us dry for hours! Also I like to find a resturant on the river and watch the rain fall on the boats and water.

If all else fails we have a favorite dry spot for watching football on Sunday and have a lot of dinners where friends and family gather together in dry warm houses and talk about how stormy it has been this last week and peak out the window when it really starts to come down hard.

Besides, in Oregon, if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes . . . it'll change.
