New Years ideas in Portland, OR?

I'm going to be in Portland, Oregon for New Years visiting a friend.

Anything spectacular going on or do you know of anything fun to do while I'm there?

There are a few things I know of. I guess it depends on what you are into. Here's a list.

Concerts: The Jerry Joseph Band will be playing New Years Eve at the Mt. Tabor Theatre & Pub.

There is also the New Years Eve celebration going on at the Crystal Ballroom with some great R&B legends.

Unique events: There is also the Portland Haunted Tour which offers a guided journey through Portland, Oregon's dark and sordid past. It's kind of different and creepy . . . and fun. It's at Shemanski Park.

Parties: There will also be a special New Years Eve celebration (only if you are over 21) at Jupiter Hotel on Burnside.

Outdoors / Unique: Also, at Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort there the lifts run after midnight for this winter white party that also boasts a dinner buffet and live music. I've been to that and it's REALLY fun. Especially this year, because of all the snow.

Restaurants: At McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon on Couch St., the bar's Black & White Ball will feature complimentary appetizers and a balloon drop with a hidden prize.

At Jimmy Mak's (this is a club) on 10th Ave. there will be a late night pop, funk, and disco show which will present International Male and bonus guest The Excellent Gentlemen. (if you are into that kind of thing ;-)

Well, that's the best I can do for you. I hope you find something to do . . . and have a good time!

Go visit the Roloff's !!!!!!!!
