How far is Krakow airport from the city centre?

One can easily get to the Krakow airport from the city or back by car, taxi, shuttle train or bus.

The airport is a fifteen minutes' drive or so from the city center. Its parking lot accommodates over 750 vehicles, 15 buses in that number, and is situated opposite the international passenger terminal.

Two municipal bus services are available every 20-40 minutes. Fare is an equivalent of 0.7 euro or so plus one needs a separate ticket for every piece of luggage in the city buses. Line 208 runs to downtown Nowy Kleparz. Line 192 connects the Balice airport with Zablocie industrial district via Krakow's central bus station. The same the nightly bus 602 leaving every 50 minutes till 1:30 a.m.

Shuttle train service links Krakow鈥檚 John Paul II International Airport in Balice with the Krakow Glowny main rail station in the city center. On average, trains run every thirty minutes between 4 a.m. and midnight. The 15-kilometer journey lasts about 15 minutes. A single ticket costs an equivalent of roughly 1.5 euro. One can can purchase tickets on the train.

Taxi stands are situated by the both passenger terminals. One may also phone one of Krakow's taxi calling centers and they will send the nearest cab available. Fare for a ride within the city border should not exceed the equivalent of 20 euro.

Its not that far and there is plenty of transport available to make the journey. I am not sure of cost as its a while since i went there but it was not that expensive
