Where is the best place or area to stay in warsaw?

im arriving by train from krakow but want to stay in a nice area, possibly near the old town, for one night

Gary k, are you one of those people who never go anywhere different because someone told you something bad about the place? Live your life man, you never know til you go. In my experience, these places you've heard bad things about always have hidden gems and make great memories, there is good everywhere, you just have to look for it. And you didnt even answer my question..

check the Old Town Apartments (google it) they are rather cheap n u stay in a nice flat in the old town/city center!!! =)
