My boyfriend has 100% polish parents and...? |
I was wondering what random fact or something about poland that I could know to impress them? The Krakow museum is only one of six in the world to have a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, and only one of three to have a portrait of a lady by Leonardo. i dont know...... but i am in the same situation as you... why dont you try learning a few words, it worked for me.....they loved it! and at least when they are talking you'll know what they are saying and you can join conversation (even in english) i have leant so much....the more you are around it the easier it is... if you want to know somenhing about Poland: try learing something in polish like: well for one. Don't be nervous. Polish people are SO accepting and i'm sure they'll be very nervous to meet you. So try to put them at ease and you will start to relax as well.Ask your boyfriend about some simple phrases in polish like hello (dzien dobry)pronounced ...ahhh never mind he can help you (laughs) just be yourself and compliment a lot. works for whatever culture and unless your eating out be prepared for bread and sausage. So if you're not a sausage fan, don't emphasize that you're that hungry ha ha. good luck |
