Polish people are taking British jobs??????

Do my fellow Brits really believe that Polish people are taking British jobs??

It makes me sick too but something that makes me equally sick is stuff like the first post 'the Brits are a bunch or (sic) snobby weenies' which has received two thumbs up and you appear to you have let go without comment. does that not make you sick too?

I think Poland is fantastic, I've never met a Polish person I disliked, I don't think there is anything wrong with the numbers of Polish workers in the UK but I think there's a lot wrong with this current trend where it's cool to loathe the entire island of Britain (particularly England) in a way that would be considered abhorrent if it was directed at any other nationality.

nobody can steal a job. If a British person and a polish person both apply for the same job, the person would hire the one he thinks would do a better job. I guess in this case it is the polish person.

I am not British but have been to the Uk often. I think the polish are very hard working and are only doing the jobs that the Brittons do not want or are too lazy to do like cleaning houses etc.

Not only jobs, i was born in the UK and i cant find a house to live in :'(.

Well that is because polish people are getting less paid, work more hours,while the British get better paid. It basic economy, you need some people in the economy to do the "simple" jobs, while the big ones are only for Brits, also, polish might be getting way better prepared in school, etc than british.

British people seem to be less hard-working than Polish ones, besides Polish people usually don't try to get pay-rises in Great Britain, so they get less salary than citizens. It makes companies give jobs to Polish people because otherwise companies would lose money paying British people who demand better salaries.

The thing is they really want to say Pakistanis and Africans are stealing there jobs, but if they do they get accused of being racists since the government promotes self hatred. Since Polish are white they can let there frustration out on them and not get in trouble.
